We had a mixed bag of work lined up for today – some locations
of graveyards to plot in for an accurate plan of the churchyard layout, using
good old-fashioned triangulation ; some recording and description of gravestones
for the database; and some RTI photography.

The latter was a little awkward due to the bright sunlight
which suddenly broke out shortly before lunchtime – but the ingenious use of a
large sheet of plywood to act as a sunshade meant we could go ahead regardless.

It was very nice to welcome several visitors today – some of
whom were passers-by popping in to see the church, others came to revisit their
childhood home.
